Five QR code printing mistakes
Five reasons a printed QR code will not scan: too small, too little contrast, a cropped quiet zone, a blurry file, and a logo that is too big. And what to do instead.
What the video says
Five QR code printing mistakes.
One. Too small. A code should be about a tenth as wide as the distance it's scanned from. Read from one metre? Print it ten centimetres.
Two. Not enough contrast. Dark on a light background, always. Pale grey on white fails, where dark blue works.
Three. Cropping the quiet zone. The blank margin is part of the code. Keep four modules clear, all the way round.
Four. A blurry file. A small P N G, scaled up, has soft edges. Export S V G or PDF instead.
Five. A logo that's too big. Keep it under about a quarter of the width. On Lynkarr, error correction rises to cover it.
