Nobody should pay per scan

A scan is somebody reading the thing you already printed. Charging for it means the better your campaign does, the more it costs you — so scans are unlimited on every plan, including the free one. What you pay for is how many codes you can change after printing, and how much you want to know about what happened.

Questions worth asking first

What happens to my codes if I stop paying?

They keep resolving. A printed code that stops working because a subscription lapsed is a poster somebody has to reprint, and we are not willing to be the reason for that. What you lose is the ability to change where they point and the reports behind them — not the codes.

Is the free plan a trial?

No. It has no expiry and asks for no card. Two dynamic codes is a real constraint rather than a countdown, and the analytics behind them are the same ones a paying customer gets.

Do you count scans against a limit?

Never, on any plan. We record every scan and report on it, and none of them has a ceiling. Serving a redirect costs close enough to nothing that metering it would be a pricing decision rather than a technical one.

Can I change a code after it is printed?

That is the entire product, for dynamic codes. A static code encodes the destination directly and can never be changed by anyone — which is also why static codes are unlimited on every plan. The studio tells you which one you are making before you download it, and this page explains the difference.

What do you record about the people who scan?

Country, region and city from the network, the device and browser, and a salted fingerprint that lets us say "the same person came back" without knowing who they are. No IP address is stored against a scan, and nobody is ever asked for their location. The detail is here.

Can I move between plans later?

Yes, at any time, and your codes and their history come with you. Moving down below what you are using deletes nothing — codes over the limit stop being editable, and start being editable again the moment there is room for them.
